Pascale Parker
Pascale Parker is the Senior Associate Director of Education Abroad at Texas A&M University. She supports the mission and vision of the office and University in giving access to international experiences to all students. Her primary role is to work with academic units and faculty as they build enriching and engaging programs for students. She guides them as they navigate rules and resources related to program development, finances, and Coordinating Board compliance. With its team of coordinators and advisors, Education Abroad is a national leader in sending students abroad. The task is large, exciting, and complex, with a mix of creativity and bureaucracy that crosses borders. Pascale calls herself a builder of collaborations, interest, and student growth.
Pascale has more than 25 years of experience working in higher education and international programming. She studied international business and languages in her native France and taught French language and business classes at U.S. universities. She was then selected to join a team of economists and professors to create and manage a joint World Bank-University of Florida program on public-utility regulation, gathering foreign regulators from all over the world to share best practices in their field. She joined Education Abroad at Texas A&M University in 2007 and applied that experience to motivate students and faculty, and to organize international projects that contribute to the rich and diverse Aggie experience. Pascale studied and lived abroad in Spain, England, and Argentina. She considers herself an international citizen, with her Caribbean heritage, and her travels and life as a ‘French Texan’ (still working on the accent, y’all!).
