Recruitment
The Recruitment Team works with high schools and community colleges to provide prospective students with admissions and financial aid information. Through these efforts, more Texans and students across the nation have access to Texas A&M University.
The Texas A&M University Regional Prospective Student Centers bring the university closer to home in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, McAllen (Rio Grande Valley), Laredo and Corpus Christi.
Additionally, regional staff stationed across the state and nation support recruitment initiatives in Central Texas Austin area, Brazos Valley, El Paso, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Denver, California and New York.
Visitor Experience
The Visitor Experience Team welcomes more than 65,000 guests annually to learn about this great university. Activities include:
- Prospective student programs
- Open house events
- Early outreach programs
Through promoting the university’s rich history, traditions, inclusive campus culture and educational opportunities, the Visitor Experience Team aims to assist each student to find belonging at Texas A&M.

Community Outreach and Inclusion
Community Outreach and Inclusion develops relationships with independent school districts across Texas to serve underrepresented middle and high school students. This team:
- Offers programming
- Participates in student and family events
- Engages in community outreach efforts to showcase the university
Recruitment and Marketing Communication
Recruitment and Marketing Communication creates digital and print materials with information that prospective students need to see where they fit in at Texas A&M.
Services to campus clients include:
- Creative development
- Strategic communication planning
- Brand management/compliance
- Graphic design
- Video production
- HTML email strategy and design
- Presentation design
- Social media strategy and execution
- Digital marketing
- Media buying
- Market research and campaign analytics
Strategic Partnerships
To support low-income, first-generation college and underrepresented high school students in their dream to attend Texas A&M, the university works with these partners:
- Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
- Texas Workforce Commission
- College Advising Corps
- Greater Texas Foundation
- Texas Education Agency
These partnerships support the work of high school advisors in the Texas A&M Chapter of Advise TX who encourage, guide and assist prospective students as they navigate the college admissions process.
The goal is to help these students achieve academic success at levels like their non-disadvantaged peers.

SLATE Operations
Slate Operations supports university groups who use data for student recruiting and outreach efforts. The team:
- Develops project plans
- Trains staff on Slate software
- Oversees prospective student communications
- Manages the university’s marketing repository
- Coordinates projects with other campus units
